Il Vangelo che abbiamo ricevuto

THE GOSPEL WE HAVE RECEIVED

invitation to Christians
for a joint meeting on May 16, 2009 Florence

The ultimate reason that drives us to this invitation is the belief that the Second Vatican Council was and is still a great grace, more grace given to the church of our time, because it rediscovers the power of the Gospel in living history. But with that many in the Catholic Church today are struggling to have a voice we sense the suffering of not seeing the center of common attention the very gospel of the kingdom announced by Jesus to the poor, the sinners, those who lie under the dominion of evil, while it grows out of proportion the preaching of the Law. The Lord has called us to build a church is not condemning, but a church that manifests the mercy of God, living in the freedom of the Spirit, know suffer and rejoice with every woman and every man who is given to meet. Our invitation is not intended therefore to the creation of a movement or protest or something else, like a church alternative, but that freedom comes from the desire of God's children, the comparison sine ira, communion and the exchange did not go off .
For this reason those who share our sorrows, yet the hope of the kingdom and the will of a humble church, close to human beings and seeks to discern the signs of the times, are invited to a meeting to confirm each other in faith. Each group / community that wants to participate, but also every Christian / living in isolated / in your faith, you prayed / to send a short report (maximum 5,000 characters), which led to a summary prepared by the friends of Turin early in the day, the first reports, to bring out common elements and differences between us. This invitation is not to exclude anyone, either the community or individuals, but all those who share our concerns will be welcome guests or not by strangers but as fellow citizens of the city of saints.
